VACCINATIONS
Prevention is the best medicine. We are happy to answer any questions or concerns you have regarding the right vaccines for your horse at all stages of life and performance.
EMERGENCY CARE
Dr. Lewis provides prompt care to your horse in emergency situations such as colic, lacerations, choke, and acute lameness. She works diligently to make sure your horse gets the care they deserve.
COGGINS AND HEALTH PAPERS
We provide prompt 24hr and 2hr Coggins testing including health papers for traveling locally, nationally, or internationally.
REPRODUCTION
Dr. Lewis provides a wide array of reproductive services including ultrasounds for breeding and pregnancy surveys, artificial insemination, hormone therapies, and other peri-natal care.
LAMENESS
From foot abscesses, soft tissue injuries, to more emergent issues, Dr. Lewis provides prompt examinations and x-rays if needed to diagnose and discuss treatment plans to get your horse back to feeling its best.
SURGERY
From routine elective procedures such as castration to palliative procedures such as enucleation and tumor removals, Dr. Lewis will ensure your horse gets the right care.
DENTISTRY
Poor dentition can lead to major problems, including choke, bit issues and weight loss. We provide routine teeth floating to ensure your horse can be its best.
MEDICINE
If your horse is not feeling well, we will be there to diagnose and provide proper treatment through physical exams, bloodwork and ultrasound, if needed.

Dr. Lewis works with all types of horses, from foals to geriatric horses and from pasture pets to high-level performance horses. She understands the common thread of horse owners; we love our animals. Dr. Lewis takes pride in educating her clients so they can make informed decisions when deciding how to manage, train, and treat their horses.

Drs. Kris and Katie Lewis are a husband and wife team who believe that quality of care is more important than quantity of appointments. At Lewis Veterinary, we pride ourselves on practicing quality medicine and spending quality time with patients and their owners. We want to build relationships with our clients and make sure they are an active part of the appointment, from beginning to end.

Veterinary medicine has come very far in recent decades and the medical advancements made through research have allowed our animals to live longer, healthier and happier lives. It has also lead the profession toward a more sterile, clinical atmosphere where the people behind the pets sometimes get lost. At Lewis Veterinary, we combine the best of what medicine has to offer with a down to earth, family atmosphere. This is why both Dr. Katie and Dr. Kris make house and farm calls. We know how busy life can be juggling family and work and how difficult and potentially risky it can be to arrange trailers to haul horses to a clinic for routine procedures. We want to manage the stress of your animals and provide a convenient option for quality veterinary care.
